White-cooked Cubed Pork

2 lb Pork
1/2 c Sherry
4 c Water
1 ts Salt
1 tb Sugar

Cut pork in 1-1/2 inch cubes. Place in a heavy pan with sherry, water and salt. Bring to a boil; then simmer, covered, until tender (about 1 hour).

Add sugar and simmer 10 minutes more.
