Fresh Butter Beans and Okra

2 lb Fresh butter beans; (white or speckled)
1 lb Pickled pork meat
Salt to taste
1 md Chopped onion
1/2 lb Small okra
1/2 ts Sugar


Boil pickled pork meat about 1/2 hour. Add shelled butter beans, onions, salt and sugar in about 2 cups of water until beans are soft when mashed with finger. About 10 minutes before done add okra to beans and sprinkle with black pepper.
