Swedish Meatballs

1/2 c Minced onion
3 tb Butter or margarine
2 Eggs; beaten
3/4 c Milk
1 c Soft bread crumbs
1 1/2 ts Salt
1 c Barbecue sauce
3 tb Sugar
3/4 ts Ground allspice
1/2 ts Ground nutmeg
1 1/2 lb Gound beef
1/2 lb Ground pork


Brown onions in butter or margarine. Combine all ingredients except barbecue sauce. Mix well and shape into small balls about 1 inch in diameter. Brown well in baking pan in preheated 350 degree oven for 20 minutes. Arrange browned meat balls in a 2-1/2 quart heat-resistant glass bowl. Pour barbecue sauce over meat balls and heat for 20 minutes at 350 degrees or cook in an electric skillet. Insert colorful toothpicks to serve.
