Savory Meat Loaf (Kottfars)

1/2 c Dry bread crumbs
1 1/2 c Milk
1 Egg,beaten
1 lb Beef ground
1/4 lb Ground pork or sausage meat
1 ts Salt
1/8 ts Nutmeg
4 Diced bacon slices, crisp cooked. drained
2 Onions, sliced thin

Soak crumbs in milk for several minutes. Add next 5 ingredients. Mix. Place 1/3 of meat mixture in bottom of loaf pan. Spread with 1/2 of the bacon and onion mixture . Cover with 1/2 of the remaining meat mixture. Spread with remaining bacon-onion mixture. top with remaining meat. Pack down into loaf pan. Bake at 350 degs for 1 hour.
