Meatloaf and Gravy

1 1/2 lb Ground beef (or 1/2 lb beef; 1/2 lb veal, 1/2 lb pork, all ground)
1 lg Grated carrot
1 Onion; chopped finely
1 Rib celery; chopped finely
3/4 c Rolled oats
1/2 c Milk powder
1 ts Thyme
1/2 ts Each salt; pepper, sage, dry mustard
1 pn Allspice
2 c Beef broth
2 tb Flour

Combine meat, vegetables, rolled oats, milk powder and spices and mix well. Add 1/2 c broth, mix again, place into 8x3 inch loaf pan. Bake 350F, 30 min. Pour another 1/2 c broth over meatloaf, bake in 350F a further 45 min. Make gravy with the flour, 1 c reserved broth, and the pan drippings from the meatloaf.
