Many Meat Loaf

1 ea - lb ground beef
1/2 ea - lb ground pork
1/2 ea - lb ground veal
1/2 ea - cup finely minced celery
1/2 ea - cup tomato soup
1 ea - egg
1 ea - cup soft bread crumbs
1/2 ea - cup finely minced onion
1/2 ea - tsp pepper
1/4 ea - cup butter, margarine or drippings
2 ea - tsp salt
Bacon Strips


Have the meat ground twice. Brown onion and celery in butter. Add tomato soup to onion, then beat egg into mixture. Add bread crumbs and seasonings to meat, then add onion mixture. Work well with hands until all ingredients are thoroughly blended. Pack in greased bread pan to form a loaf. Arrange strips of bacon over loaf. Bake in 375 degree preheated oven for 1 1/2 hours. Serves 5 to 6.
