Cranberry Pork Chops with Turnips

4 lean pork loin chops -- about 1/2 inch thick -- (about 1 pound)
2 teaspoons chopped fresh or 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup chicken broth
2 medium turnips (about 1/2 pound) pared and cut into 2 X 1/2 X 1/2-inch strips
1 cup whole-berry cranberry sauce
1/2 cup chopped onion (about 1 medium)

Trim fat from pork chops. Cook pork in 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat until brown on both sides. Sprinkle with sage and pepper. Pour broth around pork. Layer turnips around pork. Cover and simmer 15 minutes. Mix cranberry sauce and onion; spoon onto pork. Cover and simmer about 15 minutes until turnips are tender and pork is done. 4 SERVINGS.
