Dutch Oven Sparkling Potatoes

8 Washed potatoes - sliced; (8 to 10)
1 lb Diced pork bacon
2 Sliced vidallia onions
Seasoned salt
1 tb Garlic powder
Mrs Dash seasoning
2 cn Sprite


Heat a fire using wood or coals. In a large Dutch oven, cook the bacon and onions over the coals until golden or saut separately over the stove. Leave onion mixture at the bottom of oven, then layer the potatoes on top. Season with seasoned salt, garlic and Mrs. Dash. Place cover on the Dutch oven and cook for 5-10 minutes, placing coals on lid and cooking over coals. Lift lid and pour in 1-2 cans of Sprite. This will keep the potatoes and onions for sticking to the oven. Stir well and cook covered for an additional 15-20 minutes until potatoes are cooked through.
