West Virginia Barbecued Pork Ribs

6 lb Fresh pork ribs
4 ea Onions, chopped
2 c Water
2 ea Beef bouillon cubes
1/2 c Dark brown sugar
1 c Ketchup
1/2 c Cider vinegar
1 lb Tomato puree
1 T Garlic salt
1 T Celery salt
1 T Chili powder
1/2 t Ground allspice
1/2 t Ground ginger
1/2 t Ground cloves
1/2 t Dry mustard
1/2 c Drained sweet pickle relish

Brown ribs in heavy kettle. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer for 2 hours, or until tender. Makes 8 servings.
