Barbecued Spareribs

4 lb Pork spareribs
sl Lemon; thin
Grated or sliced onion


Sauce
1 ts Salt
1 ts Chili powder
1 ts Celery seed
1/4 c Brown sugar
1 c Tomato ketchup
1/2 c Vinegar
2 c Water
1/4 c Worcestershire sauce


Fill flat baking pan with spareribs, fat side up. Place thin slice of lemon on each rib. Cover all with grated or sliced onion. Bake at 450 for 45 minutes. Mix all sauce ingredients in saucepan & bring to a boil. Pour over browned meat. Reduce oven to 350. Cover pan with foil & bake for 1 hour. Remove foil; bake for 30 minutes. Serves 6.
