Vegetable Ham Soup

1 meaty hambone
1 sm. onion, sliced
1/2 c. chopped celery
Parsley to taste
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. ground pepper
4 to 6 carrots, diced
4 to 6 potaotes, cubed
1 can tomato sauce
1/2 c. noodles
Peas, corn, green beans to taste

Cover hambone with 3 quarts water in large kettle; bring slowly to a boil. Add onion, celery, parsley, salt and pepper; reduce heat. Simmer, covered for 1 hour. Add carrots and potatoes, simmer, covered for 15 minutes longer. Remove hambone; cool. Stir in tomato sauce. Cut meat from bone into bitesize pieces return to broth. Add noodles and rest of vegetables; simmer for 45 minutes longer or until noodles and vegetables are tender.
