Monte Carlo Baked Ham Brunch Sandwich

16 slices bread, crusts removed
8 slices bread
8 slices Old English cheese
8 slices ham, thin
8 slices bread
7 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
3 c. milk


Line broiler or large pan with bread, cheese, ham and bread. Combine eggs, salt, mustard, and milk. Pour liquid over sandwiches and refrigerate 12 hours before baking. Mix 3 cups corn flakes with 1 stick butter. Sprinkle over top and bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour. It will "hold" another hour at 200 degrees. Cut in square and serve on heated plates.
