Ham and Egg Bake

8 slices of white bread, buttered & cubed
2 c. cooked ham, diced
3/4 c. fresh mushrooms, sauteed
2 c. sharp cheddar cheese, cubed
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
2 c. milk

Put half of the bread cubes in a buttered casserole dish. Add ham and mushrooms and half of cheese. Mix eggs, spices and milk; pour on top. Add remainder of bread and cheese. Push down with hands to soak will, let stand 2 hours or overnight in the refrigerator. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
