Green Pea and Ham Soup

4 c. chicken broth
1 lb. frozen peas
2 tbsp. light cream
Salt and pepper
Pinch of sugar
1/4 lb. cooked ham


Time: 15 minutes. Freezing suitable. Serves 4. Put the broth and the peas in a large bowl. Cover and cook on high for 10 minutes. Reserve 1/3 of the peas. Puree the remaining peas in a blender or by passing through a sieve. Return the pureed peas and the reserved peas to a bowl. Stir in the cream, sugar, salt and pepper. Dice the ham and add. Cook on high for 5 minutes, then serve hot.
