Baked Spareribs with Barbecue Sauce

1 Rack of spareribs the smaller and meatier the are the better
Salt and pepper
1 c Ketchup
1 ts Fresh ginger; Grated
4 ts Butter
2 tb Worcestershire sauce
3 tb Lemon juice
1/2 ts Garlic; minced
2 tb Honey
1 ts Coriander; ground


Preheat the oven to 425. Bring a large kettle of water to a boil and add the rack of spareribs. Parboil about 2 min. then drain. Pat dry with paper towels. Place the spareribs on the rack in a roasting pan, meaty side up. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place in the oven and bake 30 min. or until nicely browned. Meanwhile, combine the remaining ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Brush the spareribs with the sauce and bake 15 min. longer. Turn the spareribs and brush with the sauce. Bake 10-15 min. longer. Cut into 1- or 2-rib pieces. Serve with the remaining sauce.
