Cheese Cloud For Brunch
12 slices day old bread
1/2 lb. cheddar cheese, sliced
1 lg. pork sausage
2 1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. prepared yellow mustard
1 tbsp. grated onion
1/4 tsp. salt
Dash cayenne pepper
Dash black pepper
1 tsp. seasoned salt
Trim crusts from bread. Arrange 6 slices in bottom of 12 x 8 x 2 inch greased casserole. Cover with cheese slices then remainign bread slices. Top with crumbled, cooked and drained sausage. Beat eggs, add milk, mustard, onion and seasonings. Pour over casserole and let stand at room temperature for 1 hour. May be prepared day ahead and refrigerated. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Serve immediately. Serves 6.
