Pork Chops

1 tb Cooking oil
6 Pork chops, trimmed
1 c Chopped onion
1/2 c Ketchup
1/4 c Brown sugar, packed
3 tb White vinegar
1 tb Soy sauce
1/2 ts Salt
1/8 ts Pepper

YOU WILL NEED: A frying pan, measuring spoons, a table fork, a small roaster, measuring cups, a small bowl, a mixing spoon, oven mitts and a hot pad. 1. Turn the oven on to 350 F. Put the cooking oil in the frying pan and heat to medium. Place the pork chops in the frying pan. Brown on both sides. Transfer the chops to the roaster. 2. Scatter the onion over the chops in the roaster. 3. Measure all of the remaining ingredients into the bowl. Stir. Pour over the chops and onions. Cover the roaster with the lid. Bake on the center rack in the oven for about 1 hour until the meat is tender. Use the oven mitts to remove the roaster to the hot pad. Makes 6 small servings.
