Pork Skillet

2 tb Butter
4 Pork chops; 3/4-inch thick
1 md Onion; chopped
1 Garlic clove; minced
1 cn Italian tomatoes; (14 1/2 ozs)
1 ts Italian seasoning
1/4 ts Salt
1/4 ts Black pepper


In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat and brown the pork chops for 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the chops from the skillet and cover to keep warm. Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the skillet and saute for 3-5 minutes, until tender and lightly browned. Stir in the tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Return the pork chops to the skillet; reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 30 minutes or until the chops are cooked through.
