Lemon and Basil Pork Chops

1/2 c Freshly made bread crumbs
4 Boneless pork loin chops, 1-1/4" thick
1 tb Melted butter or margarine
2 ts Grated lemon peel (I have used orange peel, too)
1 ts Dried basil leaves
1 Egg, slightly beaten
1 ts Lemon juice
1/2 c Marinara sauce

Heat oven to 375. Grease a 15x10x1 inch baking pan. Combine bread crumbs, butter, lemon peel & basil. In small bowl, combine egg & lemon juice. Brush chops with egg, then dip in crumb mix to coat top & sides. Place on prepared pan. Bake at 375 for 30-40 mins, or until meat thermometer reaches 160, turning once halfway through baking. In small saucepan, heat marinara sauce. Serve over chops. 4 servings.
