2 cups macaroni, uncooked
1 1/4 cups American or Cheddar cheese, grated
1 tsp. onion, grated
1 (2 oz.) can pimento, minced (optional)
2 1/2 cups milk
2 cans mushroom soup
2 tsp. butter, melted
2 cups ham, chopped or 2 packages dried beef, 2 cans Tuna or 2 cans Shrimp
1 cup slivered almonds
Mix ingredients in order given. Pour into large greased casserole. Just before baking, sprinkle almonds over top for a crispy touch. Bake covered for 1 hour at 350 F. Remove cover for the last 15 minutes to brown.
Will serve 10.
Can be mixed in advance and stored in refrigerator, but do not add almonds until ready to bake.
