Pork and Kraut

3 lb Spareribs; in serving pcs.
2 ts Salt
1/4 ts Pepper
1 cn Sauerkraut; undrained
2 md Carrots; shredded
1 Unpared tart apple; finely chopped
1 1/2 c Tomato juice
2 tb Brown sugar
2 Caraway seed

Season ribs with salt and pepper and place in a Dutch oven or 8x13" pan. Combine remaining ingredients; spoon under and over ribs. Bake, covered, 350 degrees for 2 1/2-3 1/2 hours or until done. Baste seve

4-6 servings.
