South Dakota Pan Barbecued Ham

1 lb Thinly sliced boiled ham
1/4 c Butter or margarine
1 T Sugar
1 T Prepared mustard
1/2 c Cider vinegar
1/8 t Pepper
toast or crackers


Saute ham slices in hot butter. When lightly browned, remove ham and keep warm. Add next 4 ingredients to pan drippings. Stir to blend well. Bring to a boil, lower heat, and add ham. Cook for 5 minutes, sppooning sauce over ham. Serve on toast. Makes 6 servings.
